Barre
Fuel's Barre class is a high-energy class set to music. A full body workout begins with a warm up/stretch, moves onto planks & ab work on the mat, progresses to arms and then legs & glutes at the barre. We will move in all ranges of motion with the precision of pilates and the flow of a dance class. Class will challenge balance, stamina and muscle control. Our cardio section may include some jumping, but modifications are always given.
Good to know: Sticky socks required, bring a towel or rent one for $1!
Prerequisite Notes: No prior experience is necessary although this is a high-energy class so some exercise experience is advised. Pre-natal clients may participate but you MUST inform the instructor so she can provide necessary modifications. Please let the instructor know if you have any injuries.
Tabata
Founded in Japan, Tabata is a high intensity interval training—research proves that it improves aerobic systems as well as anaerobic systems. The class will begin with a pilates warm up, then onto 20 second bouts of high intensity training followed by 10 seconds of rest x 8 = 4 minute intervals alternating between cardio and pilates exercises. This will be followed by a cool down and stretch. Promises to be exhilarating!
Good to know: Sticky socks required. Mats provided. Bring towel or rent one for $1!
Prerequisite Notes: Two or more pilates mat classes recommended. Tabata does include some jumping, cardio & light impact moves, while they can be modified it is a fast-paced class! Please let the instructor know if you are pregnant, a beginner and/or have any injuries.
Trampoline
Our newest class...we like to call it "TRAMP!" Beginning with a warm up, we alternate intervals of high energy, choreographed bouncing, with intermittent full body strengthening exercises. We may include tabata-like intervals and props, and definitely incorporate stretching.
With the spring free rebounder, you get a low impact cardio workout that protects the joints and increases lymphatic flow. Did you know that the lymphatic system helps the body to drain waste and toxins through its ducts? You will definitely sweat!
Good to know: Sticky socks required, bring a towel or rent one for $1!
Prerequisite Notes: No prior experience is necessary although this is a high-energy class so some exercise experience is advised. This class is NOT appropriate for pregnant clients. Please let the instructor know if you have any injuries.
